Summer (which is the only season that appear here) is definitely the perfect time to show off your awesome shades. Dozens of people will wear over-sized or round frames shades but hey, be a center of attention with these cool handcrafted shades by Slanties. Each pair is light, engineered to be sturdy and reliable, reinforced with a layer of fiberglass and it will last for 800 years, provided, you take good care of them. My oh my, isn't it interesting.

The virtuoso haute couture designer Christian Lacroix, who is known for defining the look of the 1980s with its bright colours and extravagant embellishments, presents his splendid costume design work of 20 years for the ballet, theatre and opera in this exclusive exhibition.
Lacroix's inspiration for productions such as Carmen, Gaité Parisienne, Othello, Cosi Fan Tutte and Phèdre are eclectic, drawing from a wide variety of sources, and are at once historical and yet modern.
In Asia for the very first time, close to 80 spectacular costumes and 60 sketches from the collection of the Centre National du Costume de Scène (National Stage Costume Centre, Moulins, France) and from Lacroix’s personal collection, will take stage at the National Museum of Singapore from March to June 2009.
ready for prints
I couldn't resist anything with prints, loud colours and heavy details. I know we're suppose to talk about current A/W collection but you have to peep at Ostwald Helgason SS09 collection. With Ballet Russes as their inspiration, the collection is playfull yet sharp at tailoring. I bet the old Russian portrait photographs hidden amongst the prints on the dress is to die for.
pretty as candy
Some people might say fashion and art is a completely different world. But Beatrice Boyle, st.Martins Fine Arts grad has another opinion as she transferred her paintings into series of tees at Brown Focus. She's concentrating on painting a post-party, make-up ruined girls which i think quite interesting in some way, sort of like transforming the original image and destroying it beautifully at the same time. Perfect piece for those casual lazy days dont u think?
